The Treaty of Versailles & its impact, 1919–23

In 1919 the winners of the First World War met in Paris to decide the fate of a defeated Germany. Three very different leaders — the Big Three — argued their way to a compromise treaty. We'll meet them and their clashing aims, work through the main terms one group at a time (remember BRAT — Blame, Reparations, Army, Territory), follow the treaty's impact on Germany up to the crisis of 1923, and finish with the great exam question: was the Treaty of Versailles fair?
