Spotting opportunities: job creation, social entrepreneurship, unemployment & bidding

Narrated lesson · press play

All around you there are gaps waiting for someone to fill them — a suburb with no bakery, a queue that is always too long, a problem nobody has solved. An entrepreneur is simply a person who trains their eyes to notice those gaps and turn them into enterprises. In this lesson we learn how to spot opportunities in your own environment, how unemployment and even bidding for contracts can become chances, how your school subjects hide business ideas, what social entrepreneurship means, and finally how to score and rank your ideas so you can choose the best one to start.
