What you'll learn in this lesson
By the end you should be able to (NSSCO Biology 1.2.6):
- Name appropriate apparatus for measuring time, temperature, mass and volume (including the burette, pipette and measuring cylinder).
- Record readings from apparatus and diagrams, reading a scale with accuracy and precision.
- Take repeated measurements, where appropriate, to obtain an average value.
- Plan an experiment, make reasoned predictions of the expected results, and suggest suitable apparatus and techniques.
- Recall simple chemical tests (e.g. food tests) and the use of hydrogencarbonate indicator, litmus and Universal Indicator paper.
