Government is one of the biggest buyers in Namibia — it needs school desks, hostel food, cleaning, uniforms and new roads, and it buys them from businesses like yours might become. But how does government choose who wins these contracts, and who makes sure the choosing is fair? In this lesson we learn what procurement and bidding are, meet the Public Procurement Act, No. 15 of 2015 and the Central Procurement Board it created, and list, step by step, exactly how a government bid works.
