Marketing mix — Place: channels of distribution & the marketing plan
Narrated lesson · press play
A product is no use sitting in the factory — it has to reach the customer. Place is the fourth P of the marketing mix. In this lesson we learn what distribution means, follow the channels a product travels along (including selling online), see why a manufacturer picks a direct or an indirect channel, look at how goods move by road, rail, sea and air, and finally pull all four P's together into one marketing plan.
