Every business in Namibia can be grouped in three ways: by the stage of production, by whether it is formal or non-formal, and by who owns it. In this lesson you will learn to compare the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors, the formal and non-formal sectors, and the public and private sectors. You will weigh up the advantages and disadvantages of the formal versus the non-formal sector for both the business and its workers. And you will analyse the debate about how Namibia's large non-formal sector affects unemployment and crime.
