What you'll learn in this lesson
By the end you should be able to (NSSCO Biology 1.1):
- Perform simple arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Use averages (means), decimals, fractions, percentages, ratios and reciprocals.
- Use the usual mathematical instruments (ruler, compasses, protractor and set square).
- Recognise and use direct and inverse proportion.
- Use positive whole-number indices (powers), and rearrange and solve simple equations of the form x = y + z and x = yz.
